Is it possible to make one bone an ik head and an ik chain at the same time?
I want make the bone Breast the ik chain from pelvis to head, meanwhile, make it the ik head from breast to hand. But I don't know how to make it both.
If anyone can answer my question I will really appreciate.
Hi!
To conclude, a bone belonging to the IK Chain cannot be the head of another IK.
However, after we read your post, it seems that the problem can be solved without experiencing the IK Chain problem, so we leave this reply.
We don't know exactly what your situation is, so we don't know if the following answers will help.
Please see if the following explanation will be helpful to you.
We have prepared the following simple example.
As above, we set the IK to "Spine > Head".
And in this state, if you select "Upper Spine Bone" belonging to the IK Chain and try to set up a new IK, you can see that it is not possible with the message above.
However, we don't think it's necessary to set the Upper Spine Bone (Breast Bone you mentioned) to "IK Head".
When setting IK on the bones of the arm, if you set the IK head to a bone other than the one already in the IK chain, you will be able to set the IK you want.
Set the Upper Arm to “IK Head” and the Hand to “IK Target” as above.
Now let's set the pose in the animation.
If you move the Head Bone, you can see the Spine Bones move by IK as above.
And let's move the Hand Bone.
You can see the arm moving as above because IK is also set on the Arm Bones.
Since the setting methods of IK are really diverse, definitely, there are cases that AnyPortrait cannot support.
However, in most cases, depending on how you configure the bones, you will be able to set up IK without any problem.
We hope the above explanation will help you with your work.
If you have more questions, please leave a comment.
Thank you!
